2 million tourists?
"I think we're going into a massive growth phase and that the visitors will grow rapidly in the near future." It says dr. Edward H. Huijbens, director of the Tourism Research Centre which is responsible for developing in a recent magazine Landsbanki's tourism.
He believes that the increase that occurred in tourism this year will continue in the coming years. "We saw a 20% growth year on year in the last year and a surge in the years ahead. I think the effects will be the same this year and in the foreseeable in the near future we will experience tremendous growth period unless unforeseen external factors change the trend, "says Huijbens.
